Founded in the 1970's, Leeds Housing Concern (LHC) is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Originally established to provide housing and support for single homeless people, LHC has grown to become a highly successful, tightly managed organisation with the passion and dynamism to continue developing new, often pioneering services.
LHC currently accommodates over 250 service users in group homes, small hostels and self-contained units, as well as providing day centre facilities and floating community support.
Services are provided for people struggling to cope with a broad range of issues including mental health, learning difficulties, drug / substance misuse, domestic violence and offending.
Potterdale Drop-in and Community Support Service
Potterdale Drop-in and Community Support Service aims to improve the lives of adults aged 50+ who live with mental health problems and are socially isolated in the south Leeds area (old south Leeds PCT area).

ObjectivesTo act as an intermediary between mental health and mainstream services,To encourage clients to find meaningful occupation,To provide social activities in partnership with mainstream service providers,To support clients to maintain independence in their own homes,To enable clients devise coping strategies to manage mental health needs

Staff and Management
The staff team consists of a Team Leader, Brian Garbett and three Project Workers, Julia Butterworth, Sheila Mitchell and Lyn Minskip. The Team Leader reports to a Service Manager, Roger Barden who is based at Leeds Housing Concern's central office.
