Leeds Involvement Project is a service users and carers organisation. Our aim is to enable those who use community care services to take control over their own health and social care needs.

The Project supports various groups. Each of these groups tell service providers like the Health Service and Leeds City Council what they think of those services and what needs to be done to improve them.

Older People's Reference Group

The membership of this group has grown over the last year particularly with the development of the sub group for minority ethnic elders. Attendance at the main meetings and sub group meeting is good.

Representatives within the group have been busy attending the modernisation team meetings for older people to improve and develop services around the national service framework for older people in Leeds. The group are making a valuable contribution towards improving health and community care services for older people in Leeds.
