Dr Marie Janes, research fellow for the Centre for Dementia Research at Leeds Beckett University, has a new research project on  ‘Risk Prediction models’ and how older people (and their supporters) feel about planning ahead for their social care needs. There is a £20 thank-you voucher for individuals who take part.

Who do they want to interview?

• An older person aged 65+ OR the relative of an older person
• Living in the community (own home, sheltered housing, supported living, or living in a care home for less than 12 months) in West Yorkshire
• Has appropriate communication abilities to take part in an interview about their views on risk prediction models, either independently or with support from a carer/family member
• Has the capacity to give informed consent or has someone willing to act as a personal consulter
