ABCD in Leeds Pathfinder Grants

Profile image for Jenni Scott

Communications Officer

Leeds City Council is looking to fund two new Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) pathfinder sites in either Chapeltown, Little London or Hyde Park.

Leeds has pioneered the use of ABCD, a neighbourhood-based community-building approach founded on the principle that, given the tools and the opportunity, small groups of people can change the things they believe need changing in the community better than anyone else. ABCD Pathfinders have facilitated community-led action and evidenced a range of positive impacts, including improvements in health and well-being and reductions in loneliness and social isolation in our communities.

This is an exciting time to work in Leeds on ABCD as we continue to grow and develop our approach.

The total grant available is £50,000 per pathfinder site for 24 months, with an option to extend subject to further funding being available. The expected start date is July 2026.

Please read the documents in the application pack on their website: https://www.abcdinleeds.com/copy-of-home

Please submit all expressions of interest to ABCD@leeds.gov.uk by 22 April 2026 at 12 noon.

If you have any further questions, please email the ABCD in Leeds team at ABCD@leeds.gov.uk.
