Dying Matters Week aims to help people talk more openly about dying, death and bereavement, and to make plans for the end of life.
Funding available: Small Grants up to £300 is available for one off events.

Dying Matters 2026 Community Grants Application form
Organisations in Leeds are invited to apply for a Dying Matters Leeds Community Grant to deliver an event or activity in their local community during Dying Matters Week (4-10th May 2026).
To give you inspiration, below is a small selection of possible events:
- A social activity or event, with local or national Dying Matters resources on display (visit Leeds Public Health Resource Centre or the Hospice UK Dying Matters website for access to resources).
- An afternoon of activities, including the screening of Dying Matters films and talks from local bereavement associations and funeral directors.
- A Dying Matters arts competition.
Deadline: 11.59pm Sunday 29th March 2026.
