The COVID‑19 spring booster programme will run from 13 April to 30 June 2026, eligible cohorts include:
- adults aged 75 and over,
- care home residents,
- people aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed.
Vaccination helps protect those most at risk and reduces pressure on health services. We encourage everyone who is eligible to take up their vaccination before the programme closes on 30 June 2026.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of lung infections like bronchitis and pneumonia.
- As of 1 April 2026, the RSV vaccine is available for free on the NHS to all:
Adults aged 75 or over - Adults living in a care home for older adults

- By calling 119 for free (with translators available)
- By visiting a walk-in vaccination site listed at www.nhs.uk/covid-walk-in
