New study to understand more about joining up health and home care services

Profile image for Jenni Scott

Communications Officer

The University of Leeds are leading a research project to understand how joined-up care works in practice and what people think of it. Joined-up care describes a focus on an individual’s needs, involving community groups and charity organisations where this is helpful, and ensuring care is designed together with users and carers. A good example of joined-up care would be someone who might receive support with health needs, as well as personal care from their visiting carers.

What’s involved?

  • We will ask advisory group members to meet either online or in person, up to five
times over the next 2.5 years for a Public Advisory Group.

Who can take part?

The University are looking for up to fifteen people who fit the below criteria:

  • people who receive care at home from visiting carers
  • people who support someone who receives care (i.e. a family member or friend)
  • Research experience isn’t necessary, and training and support will be provided throughout

How to get involved

This is a great opportunity to shape home care research and make sure the public’s voice is heard. To register your interest, please contact:
