Have your say on staying active in Leeds

Profile image for Jenni Scott

Communications and Relationships Manager

Leeds Older People’s Forum is working with Leeds City Council’s Public Health team to shape a new, citywide campaign to help people become more active, improve strength and balance and prevent falls.

We want to hear from local people about:

  • What helps you to stay active
  • What puts you off exercising
  • What would motivate you to move more

We especially want to hear from:

  • Women aged 45 – 60
  • Men aged 40 – 55
  • People approaching retirement
  • People who don’t currently exercise much

Join a friendly local focus group:

  • Small, relaxed discussion groups
  • 10-12 people per session
  • £20 voucher for people taking part

Focus group dates and venues:

  • Health For All, Beeston Village Community Centre – Wednesday, 17 June – 10.30 am to 12 pm
  • Heart Centre, Headingley – Thursday, 18 June – 5.30 pm to 7 pm
  • Little London Community Centre – Friday, 19 June – 10.30 am to 12 pm
