Sleep and Gambling Harms Survey

Profile image for Jenni Scott

Communications and Relationships Manager

York University are looking to better understand the relationship between sleep problems and gambling as part of its UKRI Gambling Harms Research and Innovation Partnership.

Context

Research to date suggests that sleep and gambling problems can affect one another. Poor sleep may increase a person’s vulnerability to gambling-related harm, whilst gambling, particularly online gambling, may disrupt sleep. Many questions about this relationship remain unanswered, and more research is needed.

How can you help

They want to hear what matters most to people with a wide range of experiences and perspectives on gambling. Your views will help decide which research questions to prioritise and ensure any changes from the research reach the right people.

Who can participate

Any adult who has views on gambling and/or sleep, whether as someone with lived experience or as a professional (e.g. researcher, clinician, local authority worker). These are only examples; if you have views on gambling and sleep, you are welcome to complete the survey.

You must be aged 18 or over.

All responses will be treated confidentially.

Survey

The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. You will be required to read a survey information sheet before completing it.
