Carers Leeds is a local charity providing free information, advice and support to unpaid carers across Leeds. We support people who look after a family member, friend or neighbour due to illness, disability, mental health difficulties or substance misuse, helping carers feel informed, supported and less alone in their caring role.
Carers Leeds now offers a free webchat service for unpaid carers across Leeds, providing an alternative way to access support without needing to make a phone call. The service is particularly helpful for carers who are unable to speak on the phone, prefer communicating in writing, or may find it difficult to have a private conversation. Through webchat, carers can connect directly with one of our friendly Carer Support Workers for live, one-to-one support.
Key Features:
- Free live support: Chat directly with a Carer Support Worker in real time.
- Emotional support: A safe, supportive space to talk about caring.
- Information and guidance: Access practical advice, information and signposting to relevant services.
- Live translation: Our built-in translation feature allows carers whose first language is not English to communicate with our team in their preferred language in real time.
- Alternative to telephone support: Ideal for carers who cannot make phone calls or would prefer to communicate through written messages.
- Easy to access: No phone call required, carers can use the service through our website on a phone, tablet, or computer.
